Many civilian employers send their employment opportunity advertisements to the Joint Forces Headquarters looking to hire a National Guard member or veteran. Instead of forwarding each separate job announcement, the document linked below compiles multiple employment opportunities. This information will be updated and forwarded on a weekly basis.
Service members seeking employment are encouraged to place their resume on the Employer Partnership of the Armed Forces Website: https://www.employerpartnership.org/.
If you are aware of a service member who may need additional assistance in finding employment, please direct them to a new Wisconsin National Guard Program: Wisconsin Employment Resource Connection (WERC).
The Wisconsin Employment Resource Connection (WERC) educates service Members and their families on how to obtain a skilled trade or occupational license, assists in furthering educational goals, and works with individuals to find long-term employment. WERC bridges the gap between qualified service members, their spouses and quality employers. The program’s goal is to become the central hub for employment resources for the Wisconsin National Guard, ultimately reducing the unemployment rate among service members and families.
Please feel free to contact WERC if you have questions about the job postings or what resources are available to assist service members and family members.
